The Connected Systems SIG (Special Interest Group) of the San Diego .NET User Group focuses on the technologies used to create distributed application on the Microsoft stack (and beyond). This includes Windows Communications Foundation (WCF), BizTalk Server, Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) and Windows Server AppFabric.  We also cover off-premise cloud technologies such as the Windows Azure platform and Windows Azure platform AppFabric.

We have a strong emphasis on Service-Oriented technologies and architectures, and some our meetings are joint meetings with the Architecture SIG as there are areas of overlap in our respective areas of interest.

Our meetings are casual, and often break out into lively discussions around architectural, implementation, and real-world issues. Regardless of your prior experience with these technologies, these meetings are broad enough that there is usually something of value for everyone.
